Project Overview
An elevated coastal residence with a planned addition, designed to work within the site's flood and wind requirements while giving the home a distinct, personal character rather than a standard beach-house layout.
The Challenge
Coastal elevation requirements shape structure, access, and layout before a single finish is chosen. The goal was to meet those constraints without the home reading as a generic elevated box.
The Design Response
The addition was planned around the existing structure's elevation and access points, with the layout organized to take advantage of coastal views while keeping circulation and storage practical at grade.
